Texas-based saxophonist Topaz will return to New York’s Sullivan Hall this evening for his annual holiday jam. Topaz was a mainstay at New York venues like Wetlands in the 1990s and early 2000s. Like his other recent New York shows, Topaz’s band for the performance will feature a number of musicians from his time in New York: guitarist Mark “Tewar” Tewarson, Drivin N Cryin frontman Kevn Kinney, former Ulu bassist Justin Wallace, guitarist Al Torres, Break Science keyboardist Borahm Lee and Groove Collective drummer Genji Siraisi.

Topaz will close the year with shows with his own band at Baton Rouge, LA’s Bogie’s on December 30 and Mobile, AL’s The Shed on December 31.
