Yonder Mountain String Band is set to appear on December 30 and 31 at Denver’s the Fillmore. Both shows will feature additional performers, with
the Wood Brothers and the Travelin’ McCourys confirmed for December 30 and The Lee Boys slated to appear on December 31. The emcee for both of these gigs will be John DiMaggio, the longtime voice on Bender on Futurama. In conjunction with his participation, Yonder is offering two nights of what it has called “Galaxy Grass,” with some production elements to tie into this theme.

Speaking of the future, the group’s 9th Annual Northwest String Summit will return to Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, OR on July 16-18, 2010. As for the present, the group will appear live from KBCO’s Studio C shortly after 2PM today.
