Panjea’s Chris Berry, The Grateful Dead’s Bill Kreutzmann and String Cheese Incident’s Michael Kang will play a series of holiday shows throughout Hawaii. The three musicians will be augmented by bassist Patrice Blanchard, who has worked with Panjea, Amy Winehouse and Angelique Kidjo.

The mini-tour will kick off on New Year’s Eve with a performance at the Tapaz Lounge in Kapaa on the island of Kaua’i. The 200-person show will include a Champagne toast and Pupus. The celebration will then move to Maui’s Voyage East in the Pauwela Cannery for a New Year’s Day performance. Finally, the run will come to a close with a January 2 concert in the “Big Island” town of Pahoa at the Akebono Theater. Berry recently moved to Hawaii, while Kreutzmann has been living in the state for many years.
