As previously reported, ALO will release its next studio album, Man of the World, on February 9. The Jack Johnson-produced album was recorded in Hawaii this past April and features 11 new songs.

“At times, Jack was involved in everything from lyric writing to tambourine playing,” guitarist Dan Lebowitz said in a statement. “Most of us in the band have been playing together since we were 13 and over the years we’ve fallen into patterns. Jack shook things up in a really great way and got us to rethink how we record our music.”

The group will spend New Year’s Eve at Oakland, CA’s Fox Theater. The evening’s bill also includes longtime ALO collaborator Brett Dennen and SambaDa. In addition, the group has confirmed both its annual Tour d’Amour itinerary and a run of shows with Galactic.
