On Saturday night moe. performed its Democracy Rules Halloween show. The setlist was drawn from a fan vote that took place over two weeks at Jambands.com. As many had suspected, Miley Cyrus made the final cut as moe. performed “We Got the Party” which segues into the group’s own ‘George” towards the end of the first set. These two songs followed guitarist Al Schnier’s turn singing on a version of Paul Simon’s “You Can Call Me Al.” Pink Floyd’s “Echoes” closed out set one) and later returned during set two as following the band’s opening take on Phish’s “Stash,” the group moved into its own open-ended fan favorite “Meat” which segued into the Grateful Dead’s “Eyes of the World” and then into “Echoes” The set then concluded with a run from moe.‘s “Rebubula” into the “Dead’s “Dark Star” and back into moe.‘s “Rebubula” which many fans hailed as the highlight of the night. Halloween then concluded with a cover of Tenacious D’s “Fuck Her Gently” followed by “Don’t Fuck With Flo” and “Crab Eyes.” Eariler, the group dusted off “Farmer Ben” for its first appearance since 3/2/05.
