The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will celebrate its 25th year next week in New York, however one notable player will be absent. Eric Clapton has withdrawn from his appearance on October 30 as he is undergoing due to a medical treatment for gall stones. A replacement has yet to be announced for the show which will take place at the Madison Square garden. The roster of performers that night also includes U2, Aretha Franklin and Metallica. The show the prior night will feature Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Friends (James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne), Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder. Many of the artists will draw out guests as well, with B.B. King and John Legend joining Wonder, Ozzy Osbourne sitting in with Metallica and Lenny Kravitz appearing with Franklin.
