The Flaming Lips will play a MySpace Secret Show this Thursday. The group is currently gearing up for a promotional blitz behind its new album Embryonic, which hit stores today. In addition, the band will open its own The Flaming Lips Pop-Up Store at 1615 Vine St. in Hollywood, CA this Thursday. The Flaming Lips Pop-Up Store will house “unique, limited edition, one-of-a-kind merchandise, CD’s… and a one-time-only vinyl album pressing that will only be sold at the store.” The group will also give out tickers to its MySpace show, which will be held at an undisclosed Los Angeles location. The Flaming Lips will perform on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien this evening.
