The 6th annual Voice Of The Wetlands Festival will take place at Houma, LA’s Southdown Plantation from October 9-11. The Voice of the Wetlands was established in 2004 as “a volunteer-based non-profit, focused on driving awareness and developing educational outlets/programs about the loss of the wetlands in southern Louisiana.” The annual three-day event will feature appearances by Dash Rip Rock, Mike Zito, St. Lucy’s Catholic Church Choir featuring Fr. Mark Toups, Treater, Juice, Freddy and the Freeloaders, Six Strings Down featuring: Josh Garret, Christian Serpas and Ghost Town, Tab Benoit, CC Adcock, John Lisi, Josh Garret, Billy Iuso, West Bank Mike, Susan Cowsil, Southern Cross, John “Papa” Gros Piano Band, Waylon Thibodeaux, Jimmy Carpenter featuring John Gros and guest Sons of William and Chubby Carrier featuring Amanda Shaw.

Louisiana LeRoux will also perform with special guests Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie) and Fergie Frederikson (Toto). The set will close with Louisiana LeRoux’s induction into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. In addition, the event will feature a performance by a stacked version of The Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars featuring Tab Benoit, Dr. John, Stanton Moore of Galactic, Cyril Neville,George Porter Jr., Anders Osborne, Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone, Waylon Thibodeaux and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux.
