Original RatDog members Bob Weir, Rob Wasserman and Jay Lane will come together for an intimate Scaring the Children show on Friday, October 9. The three musicians will perform together at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl, following a series of successful Scaring the Children dates in California.

While initially we reported that “the show is believed to be the first time Weir has played Brooklyn, NY since the Grateful Dead played a series of shows at the 46th Street Rock Palace in November 1970” it now turns out he returned to the borough 19 years later. On May 25, 1989 Weir took part in the ‘‘Don’t Bungle the Jungle” benefit at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Also participating that night were Madonna, the Del Fuegos and the B-52’s, raising $500,000 for the preservation of tropical rain forests.
