The Decemberists are currently on the road in support of the new studio album The Hazards of Love. The band will bring the American leg of The Hazards of Love support tour to a close with a special performance at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles on December 19. Dubbed Here Come The Waves: The Hazards of Love Visualized, the special presentation will feature animation accompaniment by four filmmakers—Guilherme Marcondes, Julia Pott, Peter Sluszka and Santa Maria—each of whom have created animations to accompany a section of the music. At Royce Hall, The Decemberists will perform the entire piece synchronized with the animation, as well as an additional second set of older and newer material. The gig will benefit The GRAMMY Foundation’s Grammy In The Schools music education programs for high school students.
