Ozomatli is set to perform at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s 32nd Annual Award Gala this evening. The event will take place at Washington DC’s Walter E. Washington Convention Center, emceed by Maria Hinojosa, senior correspondent for the public television series NOW on PBS. President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and more than 35 members of Congress will be in attendance. President Obama will address more than 2,000 guests commemorating this hallmark event of Hispanic Heritage Month. The band’s Off the Grid tour will then continue at Sacramento, CA’s Sacramento State on October. 29
