Gov’t Mule will return to the Beacon Theater on December 30 and 31 for its annual New Year’s Eve celebration. The band first played the venue in 1996 as an opener for the Black Crowes and settled into the venue as a headliner in early 2002. Gov’t Mule returned to the theater that New Year’s Eve and has played the famed room each December since (with the exception of 2008 when the room was undergoing a renovation). Between his gigs at the Beacon with the Allman Brothers Band, Phil Lesh & Friends and Gov’t Mule, Warren Haynes has played the theater more than almost any other performer.
