Matisyahu has confirmed an extensive 40-date tour in support of his new album Light. Like his recent summer gigs, Matis’backing band will include longtime guitarist Aaron Dugan, keyboardist Rob Marscher and the Dub Trio. The singer has also partnered with the new peer-to-peer ticketing system Posse for his run of shows. The system allows fans to earn commissions on ticket sales by posting apps, links and banners on blogs and social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. As an added bonus, a special prize will be awarded to the top national ticket seller, while two free tickets and a meet and greet with Matisyahu will be offered to the top seller in each market.

Matisyahu will also appear on The Late Show with David Letterman on December 9. Look for a feature on Matis and his band in the October issue of Relix.

Below is a list of Matisyahu’s upcoming shows. The lack of a New York play seems to indicate that the singer will host another series of Chanukah shows in the city this December.
