On Tuesday night in Chicago, the Larry McCray Band headlined a performance at Buddy Guy’s Legends. The show began while the Allman Brothers Band performed nearby at the Charter One Pavilion. However, a bit later in the night, a number of folks who attended the ABB/Widespread Panic gig made their way over to Legends, including multiple musicians. At the end of McCray’s set, both Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks appeared to join in for versions of “Never Hurt So Bad” and “Soulshine.” Then Oteil Burbridge stepped up as well for takes on “Ice Pickin’” and “Big Chief.”
