As we reported yesterday, the owners of the building that currently houses Mill Valley, California’s Sweetwater Saloon have not relented and after 37 years the venue will close this coming weekend. The final performances will take place this Sunday as part of an all-day event that will begin at 2PM. Artists scheduled to appear include: Vinyl, Shana Morrison, Bonnie Hayes, Heather Combs, Cole Tate Band, Lynn Asher and many others. Admission to the Sunday show will be $100 and the clubs owners, Becky and Thom Steere have stated, we will accept checks made out to Sweetwater and the funds will go directly to reopening the club at the new location. As a reminder, Donna Jean & The Tricksters will appear at Sweetwater this evening and the band has hinted, who knows who might stop by – DJ has some very close friends in the neighborhood.’
