Since each day at least one artist seems to confirm his or her Halloween or New Year’s Eve plans, it is only fitting that Matisyahu has confirmed his annual Chanukah shows. For the second year in a row, the Hassidic reggae superstar will play a series of dates in Manhattan as part of his Festival of Light celebration. The shows will be held at New York’s Roseland Ballroom beginning the first night of Chanukah, December 4, 2007 and feature a different special guest each night. Meanwhile, it is not known whether Yo La Tengo will stage its semi-annual series of Chanukah gigs at Hoboken, NJ’s Maxwell’s. Matisyahu will perform at Portland’s OR Edgefield Amphitheater tonight as part of the Unity Tour.
