Festival season is picking up steam already and the latest festival to announce its initial lineup is the Suwannee Springfest. The 11th annual gathering will take place at Live Oak, FLs Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park from March 22-25, 2007, featuring a variety of Americana and roots music. As of press time, the lineup features Jorma Kaukonen, Dan Hicks & the Hot Licks, Ray Wylie Hubbard, the Duhks, Darrell Scott, Ollabelle, Crooked Still, Gandalph Murphy & the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, Will Kimbrough, the Avett Brothers, the everybodyfields, the Lee Boys, Biscuit Burners, and Dread Clampitt. In total over 45 acts will appear on 5 stages.
In other news, the documentary film Music Farmers: Sowing The Seeds Of Americana, which highlights the festival experience at Suwannee Springfest and its sister festival MagnoliaFest, will be broadcast on all Florida PBS stations during the month of January and will be released to PBS stations nationwide in March.
