Former Van Halen vocalist Sammy Hagar sat in with The Dead last night at Hi Fi Buys Amphitheater in Atlanta. He took the stage for the encore, Loose Lucy. Hagar sang the same song with the group this past Valentines Day, when he made an appearance at the Warfield in San Francisco. Sammy is currently touring with his band, the WaboRitas, who will co-headline a show with Lynyrd Skynyrd tonight in Birmingham, AL.
Bob Dylan also sat in again, joining the band for ‘Big River,’ (during which he traded vocals with a jubilant Bob Weir) ‘Alabama Getaway,’ and ‘West L.A. Fadeaway.’
The Dead returns to action Saturday at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL. For more information, visit www.dead.net.
