Persun will perform next Friday, October 25 at OReillys Pub in Maplewood, NJ. All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Jersey Jams Fund, which seeks to provide music therapy and music scholarships to the New Jersey families of September 11 in tribute to their lost loved ones. Thus far, nearly $20,000 has been raised with artists such as Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Bernie Worrell and the WOO Warriors and Railroad Earth participating. We hope this show can raise a lot of money for the organization, says Persun drummer Anthonyt Vanacore. We hope everyone who comes enjoys themselves and becomes more aware of organizations like this. It would be great to see other people wanting to be become involved in these types of organizations.’
There will be a minimum donation of $5 requested at the door. For details, visit www.persun.com.
