As expected, several musicians collaborated on stage over the weekend at the Summit Music Festival in Mariaville, NY. On Friday, bassist Oteil Burbridge sat in with Deep Banana Blackout for an extended scat solo. Guitarist Marc Ford joined Govt Mule for 30 Days in a Hole and Cortez the Killer, which also featured keyboardist Bernie Worrell and the Deep Banana Blackout horn section. On Saturday, Worrell performed with John Scofield for Hottentot and then took the stage with String Cheese Incident later in the evening for Parkers Blues. Yesterday guitarist Jeff Pevar and keyboardist Tom Constanten joined Max Creek for much of its set and Reid Genauer (formerly of Strangefolk) added vocals to In The Midnight Hour.
