Contrary to popular belief, the Green Apple Music and Arts Festival is actually a two-state affair. While the majority of festivals performances will take place in the New York City boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn, Green Apple has also spread to the Garden State (insert your own New Jersey comment here). On April 21, Perpetual Groove will perform at Teaneck, NJs Mexicali Blues Cafe, while New Yorks own Mike Doughty will perform at the popular venue on April 22. Speaking of Doughty, the former Soul Coughing leader will keep the Green Apple spirit alive through the end of the month, when he performs on a Jammys-style bill will the Yonder Mountain String Band on April 29 at Colorados Boulder Theater.
