On the end of a long year on the Cruising Altitude Tour, Umphrey’s McGee have unveiled plans to take flight again with their first tour itinerary for 2026. From Jan. 13 to Feb. 15, the jam giants will lift off for 22 dates across the Mountain states, Midwest and East Coast with the Sky’s The Limit Tour.

After beginning the year with two previously announced co-headline gigs with Andy Frasco & The U.N. at Chicago’s Salt Shed, the band will hike to the Centennial State for two shows at Aspen, Colo.’s Belly Up Aspen and Boulder, Colo.’s Boulder Theater from Jan. 13-17. They’ll take the Midwest with engagements in St. Louis, Madison, Wis., Minneapolis, Cincinnati, and Detroit through Dec. 31, then arrive on the East Coast with a show at Buffalo, N.Y.’s Town Ballroom on Feb. 1. The singular prog sextet will round through the remainder of their dates with stops in Hartford, Conn., Portland, Maine, Boston and Philadelphia before a final double-header at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club on Feb. 14 and 15.

With the historic year they’ve enjoyed, Umphrey’s McGee will have more than enough momentum to carry them through to 2026. After parting ways with their longtime drummer Kris Myers in May, the pioneering prog ensemble formally welcomed touring stand-in Scotty Zwang as their new permanent backbeat in August. They recently released Blueprints, their long-awaited 15th studio album and first since 2022’s Asking for a Friend, and heralded the record’s arrival with an electrifying premiere event at Garcia’s Chicago. The band will cap off a nonstop year with a special two-night New Year’s Eve presentation at Atlanta’s The Tabernacle on Dec. 30 and 31.
